On Get in Line, pianist Spencer Zweifel, bassist Seth Lewis, and drummer Bobby Wiens deliver a refreshingly unpretentious portrait of the modern jazz trio — lyrical, swinging, and deeply conversational. Born from years of shared performances and pandemic-era collaborations, the album celebrates the art of connection through melodic storytelling and crisp ensemble chemistry.

From the buoyant drive of “The Rambler” and the breezy lilt of “West Seventh” to the elegant reimaginings of “O Grande Amor” and “The Summer Knows,” the trio balances technical precision with warmth and restraint. Originals like “Secret Sauce” and the reflective closer “Pamela” reveal Zweifel’s gift for melody and mood, while the band’s interplay makes each piece feel alive in the moment.

Cleanly recorded and artfully presented, Get in Line is a statement of musical trust — three artists speaking fluently in the shared language of swing, empathy, and imagination.
