For Omar Thomas’s Griot Songs, I combined dramatic portraiture, deep shadows, and a warm palette of burnt orange, burgundy, and earthy browns to create an intimate visual identity. Vertically arranged serif typography and minimalist layouts establish a distinctive editorial aesthetic, while contrasting monochrome photography reinforces the album’s themes of identity, heritage, and storytelling.
